Answers to Your Most Common Questions are Here

I prefer to address thinking, teaching and learning rather than which type of school is being offered. As a kid, traditional book learning never came easy to me. Almost by accident, I discovered learning became almost natural when I had a reality-based project on which to work… even if I had to learn book stuff to accomplish it.
Thus, throughout my life and career, I have focused learning and teaching on projects and goals which have tangible and useful ends. I am confident my experience as a student, teacher, parent, college professor and paying attention to life has developed the credibility to offer excellent information and activities beneficial to all learners and teachers.

There are three issues at play here.

This site offers excellent benefit to teachers and learners from multiple circumstances. My hope is that finances, or lack therof, will not prevent anyone from using the benefits of this site.
There is a cost to developing and maintaining a website. And frankly, I would like to supplement my retirement income in this fashion.

Some visitors will want to use most of what this site offers, others only one or two projects or classes. I choose to believe most people are fair and honest, thus I trust their willingness to respond within the context of their situation.

I started this site primarily for high school homeschoolers, but as it developed it became applicable to middle school and even upper elementary students. The selection of projects also can be appropriately done as a family or groups of students.

First, I am open to any and all suggestions from visitors to the site. Use our Contact Page to make your suggestions. Next, I am in serious discussion with former colleagues and students in developing a broader base of classes and projects in their area of expertise.

Finally, I am investigating the possibility of an online Science Fair type of event, considering a forum where nuts-and-bolts issues can be openly discussed.

If there is demonstrateable need I would be pleased to schedule a webinar or perhaps an in-person workshop.
